Milwaukee Pet Sitters Scout Camp for Dogs is owner-operated. 

The idea to create a scout camp for dogs originated as an alternative to making in-home visits to care for pets. Three visits a day to the pets I came to love just didn’t seem enough, so I began bringing them home …with their people’s permission of course! The vision for the scout camp evolved over the next two years while I lived each day with my ever-changing pack of dogs.

Today the scout camp is housed in a spacious 6,000-plus square foot facility, with tents to run through, sofas and chairs to fall asleep on, and enough floor space to tire out the most active pup.  Camp has a bunk area in the large play room with two queen size beds, special cots just for dogs and comfy dog beds.  The troop leader’s bed is never been off limits to any four-legged scout that can nose his or her way under the covers!   

Future plans are to build a new full-service facility not far from camp on 14 acres of land.  The same home-style, free-roaming camp is planned with a living quarters on site for the camp counselor!  The 14 acres of land will become a private dog park for clients and also will be used for competitive dog events.

Expansion plans of this facility will include building a pond for client’s dogs to swim outside and a pool for clients to swim with their dogs inside.
